How to Desire More of God

Welcome to the Stirring Faith Podcast

Hi there. Cheri Strange, here. Yay! We are back in the swing of things. It was great to get Season 4 started last week. I hope you were able to join me for our first episode. If not, you can check it out here. We embarked upon a new series called She Yearns to take a dive into the topic of desiring God. Last week we looked at the theological, asking, “Should we yearn or long for God?” But we can’t stay there. This week, we move into the practical. How do we do it? How do we desire more of God in our lives?  We are going to talk about five things we can do to help stir more desire for God into your life.

Should I Yearn for God

should I yearn for God

Should I Yearn for God?

by Cheri Strange, Ph.D.

Welcome to the Stirring Faith Podcast

Hi there. Cheri Strange, here. Finally. It’s been an extended silence between episodes. I talk more about why on the opening broadcast today of Season #4. I can’t wait for you to get to it. This new year brings us to a rich topic: Yearning for God. There are several reasons for picking this theme, but mainly, it’s personal. She Yearns Ministries is the umbrella organization from which all we do. The name, itself, has left some confused and unsure of our purpose. Honestly, I find that natural. It begs the question, should a regular person long for, or yearn for God? It seems like a great place to begin, so find your way to a listening device or scroll down below and join me for this brand new episode, “Should I Yearn for God?

She Yearns Reading Plan

OH! There’s more this time! Check out the FREEBIE HERE for the She Yearns 30-Day Reading Plan, a Scripture Writing schedule, and a Journal to download. Just provide your email. (And if you have already joined the She Yearns Community, you can find it on the Facebook page just for the community.)

And While you are on this page — Don’t forget about The Show Notes.

Just fill out the form and you will begin receiving the latest notes straight in your inbox. But let me say this. Currently, I am running in slow motion on this. With Corona and my life all out of whack -(have I mentioned that six of my kids are at home ALL THE TIME. Every. Moment. Of. Every. Day.)- a few parts of life are still not running as smoothly as normal, and this is one element that seems to pile up.
