Your God is For You

Podcast #71

Welcome to the Podcast–God is For you

Remember, this podcast is moving soon from THE SHE YEARNS PODCAST to STIRRING FAITH WITH CHERI STRANGE. That means it will have a new RSS. If you are a subscriber you will need to subscribe to the new podcast. Stirring Faith will contain the same type of quality content and messaging — just in a more clear package to help people find it. Be looking for these changes to come by the end of November and into December. For now, we are headed into our latest episode, Your God is For You, right here at the same RSS, She Yearns Podcast. Thanks for listening and being a part of the community!

This is one of my favorite episodes to record lately, because I found it so inspiring, personally. Not only it is inspiring, but it links two activities I have been involved with together — the podcast and a reading plan I have developed called Awakening Hope. I hope you will check it out. I pray both are a benefit to you and someone you know.

It’s Friday! That means we are doing something new and different. We are taking five minutes to walk through a prayer from the Bible, talk about it and pray it over you. Today’s episode, Your Light in Darkness, looks at verses focusing on the light God brings to our darkness as well as all we are able to do because of His presence in our lives.

Refreshment for Your Soul

Refreshment for Your Soul

Podcast #69

Refreshment

Welcome to the podcast!

Believe me. Living with nine people can cause a person to be intentional about learning how to seek refreshment in all kinds of ways. Maybe you have scheduled an appointment for a pedicure, sat down for a long cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop, or shut yourself away to spend it curled up watching Christmas movies. You know you want it. And likely you need it because you and I generally try to press our limits. Not only do we do this physically, but we don’t tend to be very calculated about caring for our spiritual lives. Eventually, you and I need some spiritual renewal. In this episode, we discuss the need for refreshment for the soul and what it can look like in your daily life.

Running Well

Running Well

Podcast #67

Welcome to the podcast!

Have you ever had the experience of running into the same situation or hearing the same subject repeatedly so much so you begin to think it’s on purpose? That’s sort of what happened to me with today’s discussion. It’s often not entire books, but chapters, or lessons, paragraphs, even, or particular messages that strike such a chord in me, I need to go back to them again and again. Or, providentially, God brings it back to me. That’s how we are talking about running well. Today.

I also tend to think in this “Well” category. I have written on Waiting Well and Resting Well previously, with other resources on those topics. You and I can wrap our brains around the need to do something “well.” And then everything seems to fall into categories or lists that make it easier to follow. So, when once again, I was hit with one of these messages that has penetrated my heart and mind, I quickly began to think of all the different places in Scripture that speak of this very subject. Voila — Running Well.

In this episode, we will look at five elements required for running well in the Christian life.
