Running Well

Running Well

Podcast #67

Welcome to the podcast!

Have you ever had the experience of running into the same situation or hearing the same subject repeatedly so much so you begin to think it’s on purpose? That’s sort of what happened to me with today’s discussion. It’s often not entire books, but chapters, or lessons, paragraphs, even, or particular messages that strike such a chord in me, I need to go back to them again and again. Or, providentially, God brings it back to me. That’s how we are talking about running well. Today.

I also tend to think in this “Well” category. I have written on Waiting Well and Resting Well previously, with other resources on those topics. You and I can wrap our brains around the need to do something “well.” And then everything seems to fall into categories or lists that make it easier to follow. So, when once again, I was hit with one of these messages that has penetrated my heart and mind, I quickly began to think of all the different places in Scripture that speak of this very subject. Voila — Running Well.

In this episode, we will look at five elements required for running well in the Christian life.

3 Things to Remember When You Feel Defeated

3 Things to Remember When You Feel Defeated

Podcast #65

Welcome to the podcast! Oh my goodness! It’s been a crazy week–filled with all sorts of technical difficulties! I’m on my third computer since May. The keyboard on the brand new one started dying and it went downhill from there. It all fits into today’s discussion on the podcast because I’VE GOT DEADLINES! These problems are nothing but defeating! One of the most common experience shared with other women today is discouragement. Somehow we still get suprised by the derailements and forget there is nothing unusual happening. Before we become totally hopeless, today we are going to talk about three things to remember when we are feeling defeated to help pivot our perspective.

Before we go any further, have you seen them? These!!!!! The Show Notes!

Just fill out the form and today’s note will go to straight to your inbox. Every episode after you sign up should show up on your device of choosing. What could be better?

But let me say this: with having to literally lose everything and switch computers, this week’s notes will be coming later in the week.

For Such a Time as This

For Such a Time as This

Podcast #48

Hey! Welcome to the She Yearns Podcast and today’s episode, For Such a Time as this

Living in a house with a bunch of kids in the public school system means they bring home all kinds of germs and share them. I can generally keep it to a minimum but this season I seem to have lost control. I’ve been sick for the second time now for more than a week and my spouse bit the dust completely. What that means for you is that I had to work a little differently this week. For Such a Time is This is a different kind of episode, but I pray you will find it as encouraging as I did producing it.

Sometimes you and I need to be reminded that God has a purpose for our lives. A purpose that requires us to act upon. It’s not that we need to dig deeper within to make something of ourselves. There is truly a higher calling to be a part of His Plan and His purposes. This episode is meant to inspire and encourage.

The complete text of the reference utilized can be found HERE.

Feel free to snag these screen savers for your phone with highlights I developed as reminders from the message. You can find them at the bottom of the page. Don’t forget, they will also be available on my Instagram account, @CheriStrange under the icon “Inspiration” if you want to download them there.

Many blessings as you hear from your God and receive what He has just for you!
