7 Reasons to be Thankful
Podcast #40
Series: Psalms of Thanksgiving
I hope this invitation to listen finds you hungry. Not hungry for turkey or pumpkin pie but to know WHY you should be thankful. You and I know we are supposed to be thankful, but sometimes we can feel…indifferent. The chaos of daily life drives us in the fast lane and we often lose sight of what matters. The good news is that the Psalms are filled with the words we forget. That’s why we have paused to take in a series called Psalms of Thanksgiving. In this episode we offer seven reasons to be thankful as an encouragement for the days ahead.
If you missed the first episode of this new series on the She Yearns Podcast called Psalms of Thanksgiving, you can find it here. It’s called No Longer Invisible, and focuses on what I view as my own personal Psalm of Thanksgiving. I tried to be honest and candid about my own experiences dealing with a sense of insignificance or invisibility that lingered for decades. But my God was faithful. And the Psalms are perfect for illuminating His faithfulness by showing us God does not leave His own lost in the shadows but draws them out in Truth.
This series, Psalms of Thanksgiving, reaching down and grabs us in the heart of our deepest needs, highest hopes, and greatest longings.
